Take your Steam friends, groups, and conversations with you wherever you go.
The Steam Chat app includes many key features of the desktop Steam client chat, including:
Friends List – See who’s in game or online at a glance. You'll see your custom categories and favorites bar just like you can on your PC.
Rich Chat – Your chats get even better with higher fidelity links, videos, tweets, GIFs, Giphy, Steam emoticons, and more.
Invite Links – Add new friends on Steam with a link. Generate an invite link you can text or email.
Customizable Notifications – Mobile notifications mean you'll never miss a message or game invite. You can customize your notifications per friend, group chat, and chat channel.
Group Chats - Get everyone on the same page. Groups make it easier to do things like stay in touch with your communities and organize game night with your best friends.

Feels very laggy and unfinished. It's always slow and sometimes even crashes or messages that someone sent to me don't arrive properly. I would love it if it was more stable and had all the features the friends tab on desktop has! Edit: It got worse. It freezes every minute and I need to reopen it. Pressing the send button for an image doesn't do anything and scrolling through stickers closes the sticker window all the time. Please fix the app, I would love to use it.

Android 13 it's laggy when you start writing, it comes randomly. The "lag drop" is only for the keyboard and message space, it's impossible to write fast and impossible to correct a mistake without waiting 1 minute. Sending a message often sends it twice and after 20 seconds of Inactivity, it freezes completely. I have to restart the app each time i switch tabs (even for a second) and around 20 times per day. I recommend this for everything before Android 13, but for Android 13 users, sorry.

Crashes when someone sends fireworks or balloons. Photos sent don't appear in chat. Sometimes it doesn't show me the animated emojis. I receive notification for new messages, and I have to exit and re-enter the chat a few times in order for the messages to appear. I constantly look for an update for this app, and I never see one.
