I was never a big fan of Niantic, though the game used to be relatively fun to play, but since Scopely took over and especially over the last six weeks, the game has become virtually unplayable and all the joy has been sucked out of it. Event spawns not spawning (where is Dewpider?), stop spins not registering, game crashing and freezing (new phone, fully up to date, pokemon go is the only app that has issues). Game is being killed off.

It's come a loooooong way since it's glitchy & limited 1st gen days, but there's still a lot more work to be done. PVP needs a balancing overhaul, prices have almost doubled on everything, and it seems like the pokemon have become harder to catch. Part of me only continues to play because of all the time & money I've dumped into this game over the years, but at least it's an extra way for me and my girlfriend to bond. That, and it DOES still encourage outdoor exercise, despite how greedy it is.

As immersive as you allow it to be. The framework of the game is very outdated, but it gets the job done. Still a lot to be desired (better achievement system would be a great start), but I'm afraid a new game would have to be created to get a much better experience. Addictive, gets you out, gets you walking/running, and there are people playing it almost everywhere if you want to socialize. Amazing game.
